Review: The Runaway Countess: Nottinghamshire Series

The Runaway Countess: Nottinghamshire Series The Runaway Countess: Nottinghamshire Series by Leigh LaValle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fun book! Maizie and Trent were beautifully flawed, wonderful characters and I was rooting for them the whole time! I would like to say I couldn't put it down, but let's say I sure didn't want to! Secondary characters were fun, too, and I am happy to find I can read more about them in other novels. A recommended read for readers who enjoy passionate characters.

Review: You Get What You Get

You Get What You Get You Get What You Get by Julie Gassman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If only it were this easy, but it's a great place to start. A book based on the belief that tantrums are not necessary. Who knew?

Review: The Little Bear Treasury: Little Bear/ Little Bear's Friend/ Little Bear's Visit

The Little Bear Treasury: Little Bear/ Little Bear's Friend/ Little Bear's Visit The Little Bear Treasury: Little Bear/ Little Bear's Friend/ Little Bear's Visit by Else Holmelund Minarik
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had never read these books until I watched them on television with my children. I had to get them for the library. The stories have such a wonderful pace and Mr. Sendak's illustrations are just as classical as the words on the pages. Beautiful and highly recommended.

Review: Grumpy Monkey

Grumpy Monkey Grumpy Monkey by Suzanne Lang
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The monkey is actually not a monkey. He is someone who goes by Jim Panzee. He insists he is not grumpy. Find out all the ways his friends determine he is, all the ways he tries to show them he's not, and who finally determines what he's feeling. A fun read!
